Take me home I don't want to be a grown up anymore
So this half term has been good on so many levels:
going to feminist conferences with Jenn and meeting hot feminist guys in More magazine with “the” haircut, having a tea party where no one drank tea, Camden, starting a band, watching Pulp Fiction with Abrehart, shooting Marvin in the face, not doing art in Covent Garden with Abrehart, slinky trews, Prosecco and Bulmers, Neesam,...

YEAH.
Went to London again with Herb and we went to the National Portrait Gallery…
For about five seconds and then we went to Covent Garden and I bought some snazzie trews and a skirt, we had lunch and a lady on the train made us look weak by opening our water bottle for us. I have done no work.
In a little while, the other Sarah, the beautiful Neesam, is coming over and then we are jetting off...
All dressed up but decided to be a bitch and not go, not because I don’t want to see everyone but cos I just know I’ll spend the whole night just worrying about how much work I have got to do. On that note I think I’ll start my essay.
Oh, life.

About to dress up as Colonel Mustard for a Hallowe’en party of someone who I haven’t spoken to in about three months. And I really, really don’t want to. Like. REALLLLLLYYYYY NOOOOOOOO DONT MAKEEEE MEEEEEE
Plus I have to walk there and it looks like it will rain. Plus, well, I just looked on the list of people invited and died a little inside.
It’ll probably be loads of...

Bolshy Great Yarblockos to thee and thine
I hate work. I haven’t done any work. I’m too lazy and the house is cold and I’m distracted by thinking of band names, seeing as the best one I could think of was already taken by some American band oh way back when, The Devotchkas.
Profound shooms of lip music to work. Brrrrrr
Just had a conversation with someone I've never...
It confused the hell out of me :|
Also, why do they make us study such depressing books? My chapter log for Chapter Seventeen of The Kite Runner is incomplete for the sole reason of I was just crying too much. Is that normal?? What if they make us write about it in the exam? I will just die.
Have been working all day and still have loads to do, but OH WELLS I have a pizza/movie night to...

Today has been nice; my iPod arrived and it’s lovely, dare I compliment Apple. No but seriously, this is a big deal for me. For no reason other than pure laziness, and maybe frugality I have had an original iPod shuffle for the past six years.
You know, the one which looks like a stick of gum and probably holds less songs.
However attached I may be to that thing it sure is nice to have a...

I’m having a tiny tea party later on in my tiny cluttered house (hence the tiny amount of people) and it’s gonna be good but right now my house is still not tidy and i need to make a cake and flapjacks. Argh stress.
ANYWAY
Yesterday me and J-J went to the annual London Feminist Network Conference. It was amazingly lovely, we met ace feminists, ate yummy warm wraps and wandered about...

A little bit of Penny Red to start the day
...Not so fast. Another equally well-evidenced trend over the past ten years has been the dizzying rise in mental health problems and low self-esteem amongst young women and girls. Women in the developed world are, it is estimated, over twice as likely to suffer depression and chronic anxiety as men; 80% of young self-harmers and 90% of teenagers with eating disorders are female. A recent study of...

Look it's an "its late and i'm lonely" kinda post
NARRRRT.
I’m so glad I’ve got a break so I can restore some cells, but I just want to mention that I can’t remember a time when I’ve felt so good, even thought it’s not perfect, and this is a big deal for me. I have officially closed the file on so many things and it’s wonderful, and it can only get better, so many plans for this week FYEAH which means most...

This is why I love birthdays.
It’s mine tomorrow (just sayin’) and I got a text from one of my best friends and this is what he said after he asked “if anything important was happening tomorrow”
“Hmmm. I have a feeling it’s a birthday. Yeah, it’s definitely a birthday… Of someone very very special and I dunno its like a granny of about 117 years old or something…
Not...
It’s half seven. I have a history essay to do, and two presentations to do in the morning.
SO. Why haven’t I done anything? I need to go to sleep and not wake up for a while, that’ll sort my life out. Oh wait

Went to see my fam Up North today and we spent the time laughing and convincing my mum to let me have a party next week and eating cakes and stripping to show off new tattoos,
SO BASICALLY I LOVE THEM SO MUCH
and I got my first three birthday cards, so excited, although it’s gonna be pretty average and stuff but I just love my birthday.

I’m actually doing work! And trying really hard to think
Hahaha this is my positive thinking face
positively because it’s my birthday next week, and I can finally wear my Meat is Murder T-shirt. Went to see Wicked last night with my dad; our seats were SO much better than last time, and we talked all the way home so I have loads more Kirk Brandon/Boy George stories to tell people who...

Productive day!
Oh wait…
Woke up at ten, yum, and then Abe came over and we “did art” or rather squee-ed when we quoted Worried About The Boy simultaneously and ate crisps and talked about the future interior design and wanting to live in London
Pretty sweet day, plus she had her hair in pin curls so I was like, may have to eat you now. Just sayin’.

The fam.
For my dad’s birthday we went to my nans and had botched Chinese from the supermarket because the restaurants are all closed (we always forget this). Had a lovely time and my dad like his presents: two Kate Bush albums he wanted and a pop up graphic novel. He also did “fashion show” to demonstrate his new Levi’s, which look worryingly baggy on him as he is so skinny now....
bareyrteeth asked: OH MY GOD YOU ARE AMAZING!! VEGAN PLACES OM NOM NOM NOM!! Are they any other vege/vegan places you like?? When I was in Japan, I seriously just google mapped them. Out of like 50 I searched for, we only found one and got lost sooo many times.

Today was excellent
Today was Jenny’s birthday: she was extra thrilled by her present, and her mumma made us a lovely quiche thingy and mince pies AND lemon cake, yum yum yum. We watched Withnail and I and laughed at her tummy and saw her cat who is like my actual nephew. She is one of my best friends even though we’ve only known each other a little while (okay, since the leg wax times but I didn’t...

Laughing at myself
Just had the most cliche daydream when trying to do some research for my extra AS, I cannot believe that my blackjack brain could conjure something so undeniably sappy, it was like a trailer for a bad Christmas chick flick.
